FAQ

Ingredient sourcing, answered.

What's the difference between an ingredient supplier and a contract manufacturer?

An ingredient supplier sells raw or branded actives in bulk (per kilo). A contract manufacturer buys ingredients, blends them into a recipe, and ships finished, packaged product (per unit). If you already manufacture or have a CMO that lets you nominate raw materials, you need ingredient suppliers directly. Otherwise the CMO handles ingredient sourcing for you.

Which ingredient categories does Jake source?

Vitamins (D3, K2, B-complex, C), minerals (magnesium glycinate, zinc bisglycinate, iron bisglycinate), amino acids (creatine, EAA, beta-alanine), botanical extracts (ashwagandha, rhodiola, turmeric, ginseng), probiotics (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, branded strains), collagen (marine, bovine, vegan), omega-3 (fish, algae), mushroom extracts (lion's mane, reishi, cordyceps), nootropics, and branded actives.

Are Jake's ingredient suppliers EU-based?

Most are EU-based or have EU warehousing for fast delivery and simpler regulatory paperwork. For actives only available from Asia (some botanicals, branded probiotics, specific extracts) Jake works with importers that hold EU stock and CoAs.

What MOQs are typical for raw ingredients?

Vitamins and minerals: 25–100 kg. Botanical extracts: 5–25 kg. Branded actives: 1–25 kg depending on the brand. Probiotics: 1–10 kg (high-potency strains). Collagen peptides: 100–500 kg. Tell Jake your target volume and he only intros suppliers that can match it.

Will I get certificates of analysis (CoA) and samples?

Yes. Every supplier in Jake's network provides batch-specific CoAs, spec sheets, allergen statements, and physical samples before purchase. Sample fees are typically refundable on the first order.

Can I get organic, kosher, halal, or non-GMO certified ingredients?

Yes. EU Bio (organic), kosher, halal, vegan, and non-GMO certified raw materials are available across most categories. Tell Jake what you need and he filters.
